Remote Online Notary (RON) is a process with a live commissioned Notary and the client connecting through a video platform to complete a real-time live Notarization.  Remote Online Notary (RON) is completely legal just like an in-person Notarization.  Remote Online Notary (RON) allows a Notary to notarize for anyone anywhere in the United States as long as the signer(s) is a valid US citizen with the proper identification that can be verified electronically.  All documents and data are encrypted and protected while being processed and stored using AES-256-bit encryption.  Once the signer(s) qualifications have been approved, the Online Notarization is fast and simple.  A typical Online Notarization session takes about 10 minutes.

Remote Online Notary (RON) Requirements

The following is required for Remote Online Notary (RON) session to be scheduled and processed successfully.

1. The client must be able to connect with a smartphone, tablet or computer with a stable internet connection,  camera, and audio capabilities for the online appointment.

2. The signer(s) must have a valid US state ID, US drivers license, or US Passport.  The ID must be able to be verified electronically.  **** Expired ID's will NOT be accepted at this time. ****

3. The signer(s) must speak and understand English.

4. The signer(s) must be age 18+ and present.

5. The document(s) must be written in English.

6. The signer(s) can connect and sign online from anywhere in the United States.

The Remote Online Notary (RON) Process

1. Get document(s) to be notarized downloaded to your phone, tablet, or computer.

2. Email or text the document(s) to the Notary before the appointment.

3. You will receive a link from the Notary to scan your ID and verify your identify.

4. Connect with the Notary online to complete the Notarization.

5. The documents are signed and notarized while online.

6. The Notary will send an email/text to request payment.

7. The notarized documents will be released upon payment.  You will be able to download and print your document(s).

Remote Online Notary (RON) Fees

There is no fee for the prescreening call/consultation.  This call will confirm your eligibility to schedule a Remote Online Notary (RON) session.  The prescreening call should take less than 5 minutes.

There is a $40 fee for the online session.  This fee includes the document(s) being uploaded and prepped, signer identification, and applying the electronic notary seal.

The fee for one document with one signer is $5.  A fee of $5 for each additional signer per document in the same online appointment.

There is a $5 fee for each additional document to be Notarized.
